Photo taken by The Quiet Borderline, who suffers from depression, anxiety, and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). This photo was taken in the art room of her psychiatric hospital in Israel.
I have been hospitalized for 14 months and am due to be released next Tuesday. This is a photo of the art room that I have been working in for the last 14 months that I have been here for. The art therapist gets us to pick a piece of paper, he pins it up on the board and we are told to go go go. We paint whatever we like, he asks some questions about it and that’s that, a bit of art therapy. I love the board that has been used for 17 years or so apparently. It’s an artwork within itself, let alone when the next person comes and pins up their paper, accidentally goes over the edge of the paper and adds to the layers on the board.
