Photo taken by Mitch Elder, who served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years and left 18 cm of his intestines on foreign soil. He has chronic depression, anxiety, and PTSD, but doesn’t let it define him.

About this photo: This photograph was taken at Crater Lake in Oregon in 2010. It was taken with a Crown Graphic 4×5 camera, with a 135mm Wollensak Optar lens, and Velvia 100 film.
