Photo taken by contributor Darcie, a 32-year-old woman from Edmonton, Alberta who suffers from Bipolar Disorder, OCD and Borderline Personality Disorder. She was diagnosed in the last two years after suffering for over a decade. Darcie is an acrylic and mixed media artist who just recently started experimenting with photography. She is struggling to take her art and photography to the next level while also taking care of her mental health and wellbeing.
About this photo: “This photograph shows not only the raw beauty of the female form but also the vulnerability as well. No make-up, no masks, no fake smiles or personas. Just me.“

Wow! Being bipolar is like being naked. All your feelings out there unprotected. Great share

Bravo! I live with a bipolar family member and am trying desperately to help her become more expressive especially via water color painting. The chore is not an easy one.But I am sure that once she is able to commit herself to give the creative sdie of her a chance she too will produce unique and creative art forms.
